Jackson and Mackenzie both had their first "swim". Jackson seemed to like it, but he's only a couple months old so he's not too aware of what's going on. Mackenzie fussed at first and didn't like it, but once Lucas put her on a step where she could stand and splash on the side of the pool she LOVED it! She was grinning and laughing and clapping.
Mackenzie also learned about Astrojax. John has some soft ones with short strings that we used to play with kids in nusery when we had that calling, so he gave some to Mackenzie to play with.
And like any kid and balls, she loved to play with them. She liked to hold one ball and swing it up and down and throw them. Sometimes she would take a ball, put it in her mouth and start crawling somewhere.

In other goings-on, John now has a waterproof cast. It's slow to dry though, so he still tries to keep it dry. It has what he calls the "destructo-ray". It has a hole in it so he can use a bone stimulator. It basically is an ultrasound machine to stimulate the bone growth in his hand. The hole has a red cap, hence the destructo-ray. He gets that cast off in a month when he goes in for x-rays. Then he'll have a cast for another month. So he'll have a cast when we go to Lake Powell (2 weeks!!!!), but he'll have it off when we go to Hawaii.
Now that it has warmed up, we have started using the Stemile's pool. I know it's pretty sad, but John timed me doing a 25 so we have a starting point for where I am at and it took me 26 seconds. Lol... that wouldn't even make JV in high school! So I'm going to try an "make JV" by the end of the summer and cut that to 20 seconds.
