Christmas 2011

With John's birthday just 2 days before Christmas and Aunt KK's birthday 2 days before that, we tend to have a bitrhday party for the 2 of them on John's birthday. This year they got trick candles. :)

Since Christmas was on Sunday and other family celebration scheduling, we had Christmas morning on Christmas Eve morning with John's family.

Zoe loved crawling around the Christmas tree looking for ribbon to play with so GG held her while she played with some.

The look on Mackenzie's face is priceless. And it sums up the morning. Jackson gets a new present and Mackenzie moves in to take it away...

John and I got Mackenzie her own digital camera. I would let her use mine occasionally and she loved it but didn't like that Aunt Cari wouldn't let her hold it by herself.

John was waiting awhile to open his present. All he got before was cards saying "this is part of the big thing"

So after dinner with John's family, we headed down to Fountain Valley to my aunt's house where we had our gift exchange that, as usual, involved my mom and my aunt fighting over one of the gifts (Aunt Paula got the final steal on that gift this year!) and also had that same aunt making not so subtle hints that she wants a great niece or nephew to spoil. Then we headed to Disneyland the rest of the night before we went back to Glendora with my family.

All the characters were lined up outside the main street train station before the park closing to say goodnight. guess they do that special for Christmas Eve! and yes we were there almost to the park closing...

In the morning, we opened stockings and ate waffles then went to church at Doug and Nancy's ward where John and I were singing in a group. A good chunk of our ward (Glendora 2nd) was at that ward (like the whole Mckay family)! After church we went to Auntie E's house in Long Beach. Auntie E got John a flatware set for his birthday. Odd present for him you say? Well, it was a Disney flatware set. And she had already got us Christmas presents, but she HAD to get them for us. So she remembered she hadn't gotten anything for John's birthday. And John got Disney flatware for his birthday. She was jumping up and down from trying to contain her excitement waiting for John to open it!

So we tried to take a family picture. Yeah, in the future we shouldn't put John and Hana next to each other...
