Anyways, here are some random factoids:
- Hailey now has her 2 bottom teeth. The first one starting coming in the beginning of April and the next popped in right the first.
- She is getting close to walking. She started crawling around 6.5 months and wanted to start pulling up on stuff right after she figured out the crawling thing. She has a funny hitch-crawl. She crawls on her left knee and her right foot. She uses her foot to push off and really get going. Sometimes she will balance standing up without holding anything.
- She is still in love with dogs. We went to Utah in April so she got to spend more time with my family's dogs. She now chases after them. Her babysitter has a little dog so she loves that she has a dog and a little girl to play with when I go to work!
- Last time we were at my aunt and uncle's house, Hailey chased her cat cousin Chocolate around the house. Chocolate went up the stairs a little bit and Hailey just kept following him so he had to go higher up the stairs to get away.
- She likes the show Sheriff Callie's Wild West. I think she likes the music, but she gets excited when she sees Sheriff Callie come on the screen. Of course, she's not interested in watching more than the opening song and an occasional bit while she plays.
- She loves to feed herself. She eats a lot more solid food now and she loves the stuff that she can grab herself so I try and make food for us that I can share with Hailey as well. As for baby food she will eat just about anything we give her. If she's hungry she will eat!
- She still has no fear of other people. Sometimes she will dive away from me for someone else I'm standing or sitting by even if she has never even seen the person before.
- She is finally fairly regular with naps. She takes a morning nap and a late afternoon nap.
- She still jumps in the opposite direction when someone surprises her and she gets really excited. Last week she smacked me in the mouth with a remote control she was holding when John walked in the room and she launched herself away from him (and into my face).
- She is learning to self entertain and will sometimes crawl all over the house talking to herself and playing with toys. She will definitely let you know if she wants your attention!
- She loves other kids/babies. At first she would just watch when she learned how to crawl she would start chasing after them. She loves to play with her cousins and is learning how to play with Beckham now that he is getting more interesting.
- She went on a plane trip in April and did great. She was super tired by the time we got on the plane for each trip since she had missed her morning nap. She fell asleep before the plane took off both times and slept for 1/2 hour on the way to Utah and an hour on the way home. That hour nap was awesome since that was most of the flight! I'm not sure how she would like being cooped up for longer than that though. She just likes to get around and crawl way too much.
- She has a giraffe that she got out of the box of toys at grandma and grandpa's house that she loves. she will carry it around with her and will hold it while holding a bottle when she's eating.
- She has the cutest smile. She smiles more socially now and will smile at you before you do something to make her smile. She scrunches up her nose and gives wide smirky grin.
- When Hailey is crawling around, she will pick up toys and the like and try to take them with her. John calls them her "carry ons"
- She other favorite toy is some of those foam letters/numbers for the bath. She likes to chew on them. Luckily she doesn't have enough teeth to do damage yet.
- Hailey is really good at blowing raspberries and does allll the time now. It's annoying when she does it while trying to feed her. It gets messy fast.
