Break from the Backyard

This past weekend was our last push to get stuff down before going on a break from the backyard work (aka before John has surgery this week and can't lift anything over 10 pounds for however many weeks...). We met our major goals for the things we wanted to finish. John got the border edging finished (and got to return a number of borrowed tools to a gracious friend). My favorite thing we did was get a shed, put it together, and fill it with all the garden tools that had taken over our covered patio that I would like to use for better things like having dinner outside. We still have to get some more dirt and do some more grading work before we can move on to sprinkler installation and planting, but we're pretty dang close.

So here's what we're looking like:
